Places to swim in Seguin Texas

It’s finally getting close to that time of year when we are always thinking about which body of water we should jump into next. Fortunately, Texas, especially in Seguin, makes that selection easy (well, kind of easy) with the abundance of swimming spots (seriously, there are thousands), you’ll have many options. In addition, there are other great places where you can enjoy the summer, especially the rivers in Seguin Texas.

 Here are our favorite swimming destinations in Seguin Texas that should be on the bucket list of every Texan if you’re looking for new places to swim;

TLU Swimming Pool

The Texas Lutheran University

Located at 1000 W Court St, Seguin, TX 78155, the TLU Swimming Pool is a great place to spend the day with family and friends. It is a campus recreation where students and non-students can enjoy.

They have a fitness center that also hosts a fitness challenge to help students, faculty, and staff kick start or get into a healthy routine. Basketball, racquetball, and volleyball courts, an aerobics studio, and a functional training room are all located inside the Jones Complex. When not in use for collegiate sports, the complex is available for student usage in the evening.

In addition, TLU boasts the heated Mabee Pool, which is open for swimming activities from March to October. From 9 months of age to adults, they also provided private swimming lessons, which are accessible for private rentals from May to August. From March to October, you can also apply for a pool membership.

Seguin Wave Pool

For me this is the place in Seguin to enjoy the summer with family. Aside from the wave pool they also have the splash pool where you and your kids can enjoy.

The Seguin Wave Pool is located in Max Starcke Park East at 1 Wave Pool Drive in Seguin, Texas.

Their open season is June 4 to August 7, 2022, from Tuesday through Sunday, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. They’re closed on Mondays.

There is an admission fee to enter the pool; children under 3 are welcomed free of charge, while those 4 and older must pay between $4 and $6. There is also a discount of 50% for groups of 10 people or more and if your entry time is 4:00 pm.

Given the possibility of inclement weather, mechanical problems with facilities and/or equipment, or an inability to function due to a staff shortage, open hours and dates may change.

Mcqueeney Ski Lodge

With the lake’s fresh air and the soothing sense of resting in their long chairs with delicious meals, Mcqueeney Ski Lodge is a terrific destination to visit this summer.

Mcqueeney Ski Lodge is a member’s only club in McQueeney, Texas. You need 5 existing members to sponsor you and there is an initiation fee that needs to be covered to join and yearly dues.

The facility was designed with water activities in mind, which is the first thing you recognize about this location. It’s the flat water, boat slips, ski lessons, a large pool and a children’s playground that you can enjoy with your kids and your family on this premises.

They also have ski shows and fireworks, you just need to check with them first to see what specific time they perform.

For more information, you may reach them personally at [email protected]; they are quite responsive!

Splash Pad

Now, Splash Pad in Park West is for you if you desire genuine excitement and thrills with your family while still enjoying summer.

Aside from the Splash Pad, there are many more outdoor activities that your family can enjoy in Park West.

Park West was included in a bond package that was authorized in 2013. MTR Skatepark, Hike and Bike Trail, ADA Accessible Playscape, Off-Road Bicycle Trail, 3 multi-use fields, basketball court, pavilions, concession stand, and restrooms are some of the amenities found in the 48-acre park.

Splash Pad adds a variety of entertaining fountains, geysers, and spray features to the water playground for kids (and adults!) to enjoy! On those sweltering summer days, this entertaining water feature is ideal for staying cool.

9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. is when the splash pad is open. The operating period lasts from spring through fall.

600 block of N. Vaughn Ave. Seguin, TX, TX 78155

Guadalupe River

If you’re looking for excitement, simplicity, and accessibility, the Guadalupe River is ideal for you.

The Guadalupe River offers several miles of picturesque river floating and is undoubtedly the most well-liked river in Texas for floating. There are places along this river where it can get boisterous and busy with college students, but fear not—you can float your own kids along this well-known Texas river.

A fantastic getaway for you and the kids is located 26 minutes north of San Antonio (measured from 1604 & Blanco). This close river trip may be turned into a full or half-day excursion that includes water, enjoyment, and wildlife discovery.

With many cabin and house rentals nearby, it is a well-liked site for tubing, rafting, fly fishing, and canoeing. Excellent place to go on your upcoming vacation or weekend trip.

Conclusion

We hope you’ve enjoyed this list of the best places to swim and enjoy summer in Seguin. The summers are hot and humid here, so it’s important to make sure that you stay cool by swimming at one of these pools!
